BEGINNERS LEADLIGHTING & INTRO TO COPPER FOILING
No experience necessary. There are 3 designs to choose from. Each of these designs will teach you all the necessary skills and techniques you will need to go onto more advanced projects. Week 9, we will concentrate on the technique of copperfoil
Cost: $220, includes all materials except glass cutter (see note **)
BEADMAKING
No experience necessary. Learn how to make glass beads by melting compatible glass around a steel mandrel, using a gas flame. A winter sport only!
Cost: $180 for the weekend. All materials supplied.
BEGINNERS MOSAIC
Second option
No experience necessary.
Cost: $180 includes all materials for class project except glass/mosaic cutter (see note **)
ADVANCED MOSAIC
Previous mosaic experience is a requirement for this class.
Cost: $180 includes most materials for class project except glass/mosaic cutter (see note **).
Students will need to source some additional materials specific to their individual projects (minimal cost).
Further information will be provided by teacher during the first class session.
FUSING & SLUMPING
First option
12th, 13th and 20th September Friday 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
No experience necessary, though ability to cut glass is an advantage for Sunday's class. Friday evening introduction, basic theory and design selection, Saturday float glass project and more technical information, Sunday a coloured Spectrum glass project.
Cost: $250 includes all materials for two class projects. (Except glass/mosaic cutter (see note **).
SANDBLASTING
No experience necessary.
16th and 30th of August Two full Saturdays 9:30am to 4:30pm
Cost: $180. Includes all materials.
INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP (not a beginner's level class)
15th July to 19th August Tuesday evenings 6.30 to 9.30pm for 6 weeks
26th August to 30th September Tuesday evenings 6.30 to 9.30pm for 6 weeks
7th October to 11th November Tuesday evenings 6.30 to 9.30pm for 6 weeks
Cost: $75 per block of 6 consecutive classes. No materials included. Materials to be purchased separately. Fee covers workshop time, and having tutors available. Project of own choice. For those who have already done beginners level projects, and want to continue in a class environment with a tutor (or two) available to help. Workshops continue throughout year, so participants can work at their own pace.

DEPOSIT: A 50% deposit will be required to hold a place for you. This is fully refundable should the class not go ahead due to lack of numbers.
** NOTE: For all classes with the exception of Bead making and Sand blasting, you will need to purchase/ bring a suitable glass cutter (approx $40 - $70, depending on type of cutter chosen). The Guild has these available for purchase during the classes or on Saturdays 9am to 12 MD when our shop is open.
